Reasons why histograms help your photography skills

A histogram is a graph representing the tone and value of your image. It is a great advantange because it shows you the amount of brightness there is.

The way you read a histogram diagram is actually quite not so hard if you ask me. The left side of a histogram graph represents the shadows and blacks, while the right side represents the bright areas and highlights and the middle og the graph are mid-tones. How high the peaks reach represent the number of pixels in that particular tone.
